Dennis E. Kaufman
Chief Executive Officer
Dennis Kaufman has thirty years of management experience, seventeen of those as CEO of Total Image Specialists (formerly Vacuform Industries). He began his business career in 1969 with International Nickel Company where he was in technical sales, marketing, and ultimately as corporate staff for Inco in Toronto, Canada.
In 1980, Dennis left Inco to become Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Harsco Corporation's Quaker Alloy division (steel castings) in eastern Pennsylvania. He reorganized the sales force and increased the division's sales during a very difficult recession. In 1984, Harsco named him President of its \\$50 million Kinnear Door Division in Columbus, Ohio.
In late 1987, Dennis acquired Vacuform Industries with the assistance of a Columbus investment-banking firm. Dennis' early years of ownership were difficult, but under his guidance Vacuform became profitable by mid 1993. Kaufman reorganized the company into a self-directed team environment and more recently converted it to a project/team structure. He brought in new management and directed a major effort to diversify the company's product capability, as well as its markets and customers. At the beginning of 2003 the company name was changed to Total Image.
Dennis is a 1969 graduate of Grove City College, Grove City, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering. He received an MBA from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois in 1974.
Dennis is an Executive Board member of the Columbus Boy Scouts of America, and Treasurer of World Presidents Organization. Both he and the company are active participants in the Linden Area Development Corporation. In 1995 and in 2004, Dennis was named a finalist in Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
Dennis is married and has three grown children. He is an avid golfer and he and his wife enjoy traveling.
