A History of Total Image
Total Image Specialists was founded in 1962 as Vacuform Corporation, an exterior retail signage company. In 1969, the company provided signs for the first Wendy’s restaurant location in Columbus, Ohio, and each of the new Wendy's thereafter.Because Vacuform was tied so closely to Wendy's, the company's fortunes rose and fell with Wendy’s development. In 1987, Dennis Kaufman purchased the company with a group of investors and the process to diversify the business began. In the mid 1990’s, the company adopted a new retail marketing strategy to offer clients complete on-site image products. At the same time Vacuform adopted the tag line “total image specialists.” The goal was to produce complete interior and exterior design and imagepackages for customers.
In 2001, the company began its transformation into a complete design/build solution provider to retail markets. Vacuform began providing brand positioning, rewrote its vision and mission statements, and became Total Image Specialists with the tag line “retail made real." Total Image tackled a new logo and its own brand identity and relaunched itself in 2003. Since that time, Total Image has successfully secured and executed multiple national rollouts.
With the recent successes, the company has recapitalized the business and partnered with Republic Financial. Total Image is excited to be launching a new national marketing campaign to communicate its capabilities to the marketplace.
